Job Description

Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs "go-to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

The role of Market Development Strategist is to work closely with field sellers, customers, prospects and sales leadership in order to act as subject matter experts with vertical/industry expertise. While providing extensive "in-deal" strategy and support, this Market Development Strategist will be looking for and uncovering patterns of success. These are areas where the field sellers have shown proven and repeatable success in their overall approach. The Market Development Strategist will help to build formal campaigns, assets and go-to-market programs that can be delivered across the organization. 

Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product's sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting, mass market programs, and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle's sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle's products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.

Hiring Range: from $126,600 to $207,400 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40 - 70/30.

We are looking for engineers with experience in building control plane components for public cloud services. You have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production. You’ve built and operated high-scale public cloud services and have deep understanding of control plane architecture. You work on most projects and tasks independently and extend technical leadership to development teams. In this role, you will enable development teams by driving design of major service components, working with engineering managers and TPMs, and providing direct guidance to more junior team members. You are able to go from high level system design, writing architectural documentation and driving engineering peer reviews to hands-on prototyping, code reviews and project bootstrapping. You are technically strong and get a lot done. You can balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements. You’ve made life easier for other developers and have motivated your teams to make both process and service improvements with your ability to automate and instrument.  Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred) 10+ years distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment Development experience in a modern programming language, such as Java and C++ Hands-on experience designing and developing Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment Experience working closely with architects, principals, product and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.
