Responsibilities
- Partner with site operations teams to execute company safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations.
- Leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in processes.
- Build trust and confidence with the Operations Team.
- Influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
- Instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies.
- Assist operations site teams in incorporating safety standards.
- Identify best practices and incorporate them into company safety policies.
- Support assigned site(s) and coordinate the implementation of Amazon WHS procedures and programs.
- Drive compliance with relevant Amazon WHS standards, procedures, and applicable local laws.
- Coach associates on new and existing WHS requirements.
- Partner with site operations and WHS leadership on day-to-day risks.
- Identify and escalate compliance risks and improvement opportunities through routine inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in safety, environmental, or equivalent, or 3+ years of distribution or manufacturing field experience.
- 2+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
