The Site WHS Manager in a Fulfillment Center will ensure compliance with company WHS policies and local regulations, driving continuous improvement through lean principles and kaizens. Responsibilities
- Partner with a site operations team in a Fulfillment Center to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations.
- Leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk.
- Build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
- Instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies and assist site teams in incorporating safety standards.
- Identify best practices and incorporate them into company safety policies.
- Lead a safety team including Safety Specialist, Safety Coordinators, and Onsite first aid Associates.
- Create and execute leadership development plans for Safety Associates.
- Communicate safety team expectations and provide feedback.
- Measure sites’ performance against safety policies and implement plans for deficiencies.
- Analyze safety metrics and review incident trends to justify resource allocation.
- Perform site safety audits to identify non-compliance and implement solutions.
- Audit record keeping practices and Austin entries for compliance.
- Audit workplace organization and Associate behaviors for training accuracy.
- Manage and mentor Safety Associates in assigned FC/DRRC.
- Seek input from Safety teams, Associates, and leaders on safety program improvement opportunities and ensure open communication.
- Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities.
- Audit the quality, delivery, and effectiveness of all required safety training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Master's degree in Health and Safety or a related field
