Emerson is hiring a Warehousing and Distribution Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Sherman, TX. This role involves supervising and developing a team of up to 25 employees, ensuring efficient and safe warehouse operations, and driving continuous improvement in delivery times and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, evaluate, and schedule work for up to 25 Internal Employees and Contractors.
  • Develop and detail work procedures and instructions.
  • Investigate Service Requests and set corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive and be accountable for meeting timely delivery of customer orders, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction.
  • Serve as an interface between employees and staff and hold regular toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure effective team communication and hold meetings.
  • Participate in Cell activities as appropriate to optimize Cell performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of functional and/or operational experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to optimally apply interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Communicate optimally to provide information to all levels of employees in a global organization.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Two (2) years of functional supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Proven understanding of applicable products and processes in a Cell, preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing training / experience.
