IKEA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Co-worker in Perryville, Maryland, to manage daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and storing goods. The role focuses on efficiency and customer satisfaction with a schedule of Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of goods.
  • Contribute ideas and input to the agreed goals of the action plan in daily work.
  • Effectively unload and handle inbound/outbound goods.
  • Secure merchandise properly to allow for safe movement through the distribution center.
  • Contribute to overall warehouse operations goals setting, drive implementation of local business plans/projects, and analyze existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet seasonal fluctuation needs.
  • Remove and properly document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
  • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.
