Alstom is seeking a full-time, on-site Train Manager in Lviv to oversee train testing operations. This role involves coordinating test implementations, managing safety protocols (EHS), and ensuring the overall safety of test activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with train testing processes and strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate test implementations.
- Oversee safety protocols and train configuration management.
- Check the ability of the train and its environment to complete the test.
- Produce failure reports to the Tests Manager.
- Give instructions to the driver.
- Be responsible for the overall safety of the test (EHS) and ensure all on-board personnel are aware of EHS rules.
- Manage the First Aid Box and know the alert channels in case of an accident.
- Operationally coordinate all the on-board actors.
- Track and check train configuration changes and assess train fitness for planned activities.
- Produce the test book (test events chronology).
- Ensure the proper management of the test train set’s configuration.
- Authorize or restrict access on board and ensure the safety and compliance of all test participants.
Requirements
- Experience or understanding of train testing processes, safety protocols, and operational coordination.
- Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety rules and accurate reporting.
- Leadership and organizational skills to operationally coordinate on-board activities.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
