As a Test Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team of 8 Test Engineers, working closely together on projects and sharing knowledge. You will play a pivotal role in product development projects and R&D activities, executing development and verification testing to ensure our products meet rigorous standards and regulatory requirements. You will work across all Alfa Laval divisions—Ocean, Food & Pharma, and Energy—giving you broad exposure and impact.  

Most of your work will be based in our lab in Flemingsberg, but you will also have opportunities to work in the field. You’ll be close to the product, seeing the direct impact of your work, providing feedback to designers, and driving real improvements. Your hands-on testing and reporting will influence design reviews and project decisions, making your role highly visible and impactful.  

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for execution of development, and verification testing as part of product development projects and other R&D activities. 

  • Create test plans based on product specifications regulatory requirements, outlining test objectives, methods, schedules and acceptance criteria.

  • Lead installation meetings with support function within the innovation lab

  • Define test setups by selecting appropriate tools, equipment configuration in collaboration with project team. 

  • Prepare test object for testing by performing service and mechanical assembly according to manuals or instructions.

  • Evaluate test results through data analysis and mechanical inspection, identify deviations from expected performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Produce test Report that document procedures, result, deviations and conclusions supporting design reviews and project decisions.

  • Participate in development of new technical solutions and testing methods, in close collaboration with other parts of the R&D organization

Your skills

  • Mechanical background or similar

  • Experience in product testing, development, or R&D; experience in testing at other companies is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and mechanical inspection

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Open, forward-thinking, proactive, and eager to learn new things and technologies

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

  • Good command of both English and Swedish, spoken and written
