In short

As a Test Engineer in Hyderabad, you will validate next-generation Automation Controller product lines and IO modules using your industrial automation control system knowledge. You will collaborate in small teams, develop test strategies, design test systems, and utilize programming and scripting skills for system-level testing.

Responsibilities

Use industrial automation control system domain knowledge in validating next generation Automation Controller product lines and IO modules.
Collaborate with Product Owner to derive requirements for validation and verification plan.
Be involved in all phases of system test development from product definition to production release.
Develop Test Strategy and derive Test Requirements from Product & System specifications.
Design optimal Test Systems and Automated Test Fixtures for ensuring adequate Test coverage.
Use knowledge in PLC programming languages (Ladder, FBD, SFC) and scripting for system level tests.
Utilize knowledge of Industrial Communication protocols (MODBUS TCP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, IEC61850, DNP3, IEC104 etc.).
Make technical presentations on architecture, design, and technical risks.
Work in waterfall & agile projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with domain knowledge in Industrial automation and related products like Programmable controllers - PLCs, DCS, I/O modules.
Experience with Industrial Communication protocols like MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, ETHERCAT, IEC61850 Client and Server, IEC104 Client/Server, DNP3 Master/Slave, HMI/SCADA etc.
Programming skills using scripting languages like Python for Test automation.
Basic experience with programming language like C#, C++ for Test Automation purpose.

Desired Qualifications

Industrial Automation Knowledge and exposure in using Controller programming/HMI software is an added advantage.
