We are now looking for a Test Automation Engineer for our high‑tech wind tunnel systems. Here, you will combine mechatronics, embedded systems, test automation, and hands‑on laboratory work in an environment where innovation and technical development are at the core.

We work in an advanced and dynamic technical environment where mechatronic systems, embedded controls and sophisticated hardware come together to create highly realistic testing conditions. Our tunnel testing operations support a wide range of development activities and play a crucial role in ensuring reliable and accurate results.

The organization is built around close collaboration, continuous improvement and a strong commitment to highquality testing that enables futureproof propulsion solutions. 

Today we are 20 engineers and technicians with various backgrounds ensuring 16/5 operation of our wind and climatic test cells.

What you'll do

In this position, you will work in advanced laboratory environments focusing on vehicles, climate and wind tunnel systems. 

You will be part of a team ensuring that testing is performed with correct methodology, accurate data, and the highest quality. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Planning and driving development activities within the TAS (Test Automation System) domain 
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining features and methods in test cell and tunnel systems 
  • Configuring software in test cell control systems and performing troubleshooting on complex HW/SW systems 
  • Working with data handling, data processing, and pipelines supporting the test operations
  • Assessing the plausibility of test results using measurement uncertainty and analytical methods
  • Contributing to future technical decisions and strategies for automated test systems
  • Building networks within R&D and the laboratory organization

 

What you'll bring

You are analytical, solution‑oriented, and self‑driven, with a natural desire to understand and improve complex systems. You enjoy hands‑on work in laboratory environments, take responsibility, and collaborate well with others. 

We believe you have: 

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Automation, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent 
  • Experience in HW verification, test method development, or system testing 
  • Programming experience in embedded systems, C, Python, and familiarity with multiple development environments 
  • Knowledge of Communication protocol like UDP, TCP, CAN and network design as well as measurement devices 
  • Experience with test automation systems (meritorious) 
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, languages, and technical concepts 
  • Strong communication skills in English and Swedish
