As a Territory Manager, you will drive sales of premier brands within the construction industry across multiple Mid-Atlantic States, calling on builders, developers, and distributors. This remote role requires a strong sales background, a hunter mentality, and the ability to build relationships and close new business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of premier brands focusing on the wholesale channel including distributors, builders, developers, and showrooms.
  • Retain and grow established accounts as well as develop and close new businesses.
  • Focus initially on existing customers, building credibility, trust, and strong relationships.
  • Shift focus by year two to generating new accounts and strengthening market share.
  • Assume management of established direct customer accounts.
  • Grow market share through wholesalers by utilizing an upgrade strategy and converting competitor's customers.
  • Develop a territory strategy focused on the largest opportunities to gain share while keeping a keen focus on existing business.
  • Develop and execute market specific strategies to expand the depth and breadth of offerings within key accounts.
  • Take a consultative approach, listen and understand the needs of clients and prospects.
  • Deliver well-formulated proposals that align product features and benefits with client requirements.
  • Give strong and stimulating presentations with a customer-specific focus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful sales experience, ideally in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience calling on wholesale distributors, builders, showrooms, and architects.
  • A strong work ethic, hunter mentality, love of sales, and the drive to get out in the field.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to use a consultative sales approach.
  • A customer-centric orientation and excellent relationship building skills.
  • Superb interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Initiative, drive, and out-of-the box thinking.
  • P&L management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as Salesforce.com
