HCLTech is seeking a Technical Specialist with strong experience in Java, Microservices, and React.js to join their team in Hyderabad. This role involves end-to-end full-stack engineering, API design, cloud platform utilization (GCP/Azure), and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Deliver production-grade systems in complex environments.
Develop large-scale customer-facing applications using React.
Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js.
Design, build, test, deploy, and operate complete solutions covering UI, backend services, integrations, and infrastructure.
Design and develop RESTful APIs.
Implement microservices architecture, focusing on decomposition, scalability, and resilience.
Manage APIs using ApigeeX or a comparable platform.
Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
Implement secure software development practices.
Develop and maintain automated testing strategies (unit, integration, API, end-to-end).
Consider non-functional testing aspects like performance, scalability, and security.
Build and operate systems on GCP and/or Azure.
Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for automated build, test, and deployment.
Implement monitoring and observability solutions (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
Provide production support and manage incidents.
Make sound architectural decisions and evaluate design trade-offs.
Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance.
Participate in Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven hands-on delivery of production-grade systems in complex environments.
Senior engineer level experience.
Experience with React, including component design, state management, performance, maintainability, usability, and accessibility.
Strong TypeScript programming skills, including type-safe application design, reusable code, error handling, testing, and coding standards.
Experience designing and developing scalable backend services using Node.js, focusing on asynchronous programming, performance optimization, error handling, and production support.
Ability to design, build, test, deploy, and operate complete solutions (full-stack engineering).
Experience with RESTful API design and development, including API principles, versioning, validation, error handling, documentation, security, and integration testing.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, including service decomposition, scalability, resilience, observability, fault handling, inter-service communication, and maintainability.
Experience with API Management platforms like ApigeeX or comparable.
Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL), including SQL development, schema design, indexing, transactions, and performance considerations.
Experience with secure software development practices (authentication, authorization, data protection, secure coding, secrets management, vulnerability management, threat mitigation).
Experience with automated testing strategies and test automation (unit, integration, API, end-to-end).
Understanding of non-functional testing considerations (performance, scalability, resilience, security, accessibility, reliability).
Experience building and operating systems on GCP and/or Azure, including cloud-native design, deployment, security, scalability, and monitoring.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices (automated build, test, deployment pipelines, environment management, release controls, continuous delivery).
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, dashboarding).
Experience with production support and incident management (live-service ownership, incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, reliability improvement).
Ability to make sound architectural decisions and evaluate design trade-offs.
Experience in technical leadership, including leading code reviews and providing technical guidance.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (sprint planning, estimation, refinement, iterative delivery, retrospectives).
Effective collaboration skills with engineers, designers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or equivalent technologies.
Experience with Containerisation and Orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
