We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric SQL Developer to support the development of a custom Master Data Management (MDM) Platform. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting backend data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, SQL development, data integration, and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft Fabric, SQL development, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and optimize SQL objects including stored procedures, views, functions, and data pipelines.
  • Build and support data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop data models supporting Master Data Management (MDM), governance, reporting, and analytics requirements.
  • Create and manage Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Data Pipelines.
  • Implement data quality controls, validation processes, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Optimize database and query performance to support high-volume enterprise workloads.
  • Integrate data from multiple source systems, applications, APIs, and external platforms.
  • Collaborate with frontend, reporting, and business teams to deliver reliable and scalable data services.
  • Support data security, access control, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and production support incidents.
  • Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and release activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL development and data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric development and administration.
  • Strong expertise in T-SQL development and query optimization.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
  • Knowledge of data governance, master data concepts, and data quality processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and data governance initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric Data Factory.
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric Lakehouse.
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric Data Warehouse.
  • Hands-on experience with OneLake.
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric Notebooks.
  • Hands-on experience with Real-Time Analytics.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Lake.
  • Experience developing APIs or backend services supporting data-driven applications.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Exposure to AI, analytics, or data science workloads within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
