Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical Power & Automation Engineering, including design and governance of electrical power distribution, MCCs, motors, control panels, and automation solutions.
- Oversee Instrumentation & Control System Engineering, including architecture, P&IDs, PLC/SCADA systems, and safety-related control functions.
- Ensure engineering compliance with international standards (IEC, ISA, ATEX, UL, etc.) and Atlas Copco requirements.
- Drive technical excellence across the project lifecycle, from bid engineering to commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Advance engineering capability through digitalization, AI adoption, EPLAN-based engineering, and automation initiatives.
- Plan and monitor project execution to ensure delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Allocate and manage engineering resources and capacity.
- Lead, develop, and coach team members using competency frameworks and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Create a psychologically safe working environment that supports engagement and learning.
- Act as a technical interface with customers, consultants, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-competence teams.
- Drive process improvements, standardization initiatives, and engineering efficiency projects.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical databases and best practice guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably within compressor or process package projects.
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Required Technical & Digital Skills: EPLAN, AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical, MS Office.
- Professional Competencies: Strong engineering judgment, problem-solving, structured planning and execution, customer-focused, solution-oriented, quality, safety, and compliance orientation.
- Leadership Competencies: People development, performance management, stakeholder collaboration and communication, ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage under time pressure, change management and continuous improvement mindset.
Desired Qualifications
- Advantageous Technical & Digital Skills: ERP systems, Autodesk Inventor, PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider or equivalent), exposure to automation and engineering digitalization tools.
