This role leads an Electrical & Instrumentation Design engineering team, ensuring reliable and compliant solutions for various industries. Responsibilities include technical governance, resource planning, project execution, and people development, with a focus on digitalization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical Power & Automation Engineering, including design, review, and technical governance of electrical power distribution, MCCs, motors, control panels, and automation solutions.
  • Oversee Instrumentation & Control System Engineering, covering instrumentation architecture, P&IDs, PLC/SCADA systems, and safety-related control functions.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, ISA, IECEx, ATEX, UL, NFPA, NEC, CE, etc.) and customer specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership for bid engineering, detailed design, vendor evaluation, FAT/SAT, site support, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive standardization, EPLAN-based engineering, design automation, digitalization, AI adoption, and knowledge management.
  • Plan and monitor project execution within scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Allocate and manage engineering resources and capacity.
  • Lead, develop, and coach team members using competency frameworks and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Create a psychologically safe working environment that supports engagement and learning.
  • Act as a key technical interface for customers, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization initiatives, and engineering efficiency projects.
  • Contribute to the development of technical databases, checklists, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Min. 10 years of relevant industry experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably within compressor or process package projects.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong engineering judgment and problem-solving capability.
  • Structured planning and execution skills.
  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Quality, safety, and compliance orientation.
  • People development and performance management skills.
  • Stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage under time pressure.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
  • Exposure to PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider or equivalent).
  • Exposure to automation and engineering digitalization tools.
