Saab, Inc. is seeking motivated engineering/science students for a Systems Engineering Co-Op position in East Syracuse, NY, for Spring-Summer 2027. This role involves supporting system integration, data analysis, and product development within the Aerobahn product suite and Digital Tower solutions. Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support system integration in laboratory and operational environments.
  • Perform system and data analysis and propose solutions to customer problems.
  • Generate and investigate problem reports.
  • Participate in technical reviews and status meetings.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program with a major in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Must have completed Sophomore year or greater.
  • Ability to systematically evaluate data.
  • Some software programming or scripting experience and ability to read and understand software/scripting code.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork.

Desired Qualifications

  • Relational Database experience (SQL).
  • Familiarity with Unix-based systems (Linux).
  • Experience in Java, C#, and/or Python.
  • HTML and other web/mobile development technologies would be a plus.
  • A basic understanding of hardware interfaces including physical characteristics, electrical characteristics and communication protocols.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis.
  • Ability to perform trade studies.

Benefits

  • $20.27-$22.30/hr compensation range.
  • Sign-on bonus to offset housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.
