Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer I in Chennai, India, to join the Selection and Catalog Systems team. This role focuses on providing support for tier 1-3 systems, ensuring software packages are free from vulnerabilities, setting up metrics and alarms, and driving root cause resolutions. The engineer will also build tools to improve operational efficiency and utilize AWS services and coding abilities to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming system and service tickets for multiple products, features, and services.
Provide software deployment support in staging and production environments.
Deliver logical, maintainable solutions using appropriate technologies on time.
Learn current engineering best practices and get designs, code, and procedures reviewed.
Identify and scope problems and opportunities, calculate solution costs, and make technical trade-offs.
Contribute to operational excellence and perform troubleshooting to resolve defects.
Drive Company Wide Campaigns and keep Compliance risks for ASCS systems under control.

Requirements

Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
Experience with Linux/Unix.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
