HCLTech is seeking a Support Lead with 4-6+ years of experience in Mainframe and Microfocus application support. The role is based in Pune, Maharashtra and requires strong skills in COBOL, JCL, REXX, SQL, various databases, monitoring tools, and production support environments.

Responsibilities

Hands on Experience in Supporting the Mainframe and Microfocus based Applications.
Troubleshoot issues in large complex infrastructure.
Write complex SQL Queries and work with Oracle, DB2, Postgres Databases.
Work with Schedulers like OPC and TWS, version Control tool - Endeavor and BitBucket.
Experience in production support environments and ITIL processes.
Understanding of client-server relationships, network concepts (Layer 1 to Layer 3), stack trace analysis (TCP dumps, heap dumps, CPU/memory analysis, thread dumps), load balancers and application firewalls.
Understanding of Operating System navigation, logging and monitoring methods, standards, and tools.
Understanding of high availability and business continuity planning, caching concepts, and configuration management.
Support applications on Linux Platform.
Awareness of security implementations, certificate management lifecycle, mutual TLS, SSL handshake, SSH keys, symmetric and asymmetric encryptions.

Requirements

4 to 6++ years of exp in MF Support
Coding experience in one or more of the following: COBOL, JCL, EZYTRIEVE , REXX
Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
Experience in working across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and to build relationships is a must.
Experience in a SRE role or related field.
Hands on Experience in Supporting the Mainframe and Microfocus based Applications.
Experience troubleshooting issues in large complex infrastructure.
Good with writing complex SQL Queries and knowledge of Oracle, DB2, Postgres Databases.
Experience in production support environments and ITIL processes.
Understanding of: Client-server relationships, Network concepts (Layer 1 to Layer 3), Stack trace analysis (TCP dumps, heap dumps, CPU/memory analysis, thread dumps), Load balancers and application firewalls, Operating System navigation, Logging and monitoring methods, standards, and tools, High availability and business continuity planning, Caching concepts, Configuration management.

Desired Qualifications

Basic Knowledge/Understanding of working of IBM MQ.
Experience in Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace.
Working knowledge of Schedulers like OPC and TWS, version Control tool - Endeavor and BitBucket
Basic knowledge or Experience with Java, J2EE, WebServices (SOAP/REST), Spring/Spring Boot is a plus.
Hands-on experience in supporting applications on Linux Platform.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, various platforms, tools and products and their respective applications.
Awareness of security implementations, certificate management lifecycle, mutual TLS, SSL handshake, SSH keys, symmetric and asymmetric encryptions.
