HCLTech is looking for a Sr Technical Lead (Support & Operations) in Noida, India, with 5-8 years of IT experience and 3+ years of hands-on Ansible Automation Platform experience. The role involves developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks, integrating with enterprise tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation.
  • Convert manual and repetitive operational tasks into automated Ansible workflows.
  • Create and maintain reusable Ansible roles, templates, and collections.
  • Integrate Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow and monitoring platforms.
  • Manage inventories, credentials, job templates, and access controls within AAP/AWX.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing automation workflows to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Use Git for version control and participate in CI/CD-based automation development practices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to identify automation opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and automation runbooks.
  • Support automation governance, compliance, and operational best practices.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP/Tower).
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing Ansible playbooks, roles, and reusable automation components.
  • Experience with Ansible integrations involving ServiceNow, monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk), and REST APIs.
  • Good understanding of Infra activities such as Linux administration or Windows administration or Network.
  • Experience with Git repositories and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of YAML, JSON, Jinja2 templating, and API-driven automation.
  • Basic scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Experience troubleshooting Ansible execution issues and optimizing automation workflows.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience automating platforms such as Linux, Wintel, AWS, Network.
  • Familiarity with VMware automation and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Exposure to security automation and integration with secret-management tools such as CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, or AWS Secrets Manager.
  • Experience with event-driven or closed-loop automation.
  • Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform certification preferred.
