We are seeking a Sr Staff Customer Engineer specializing in Parasitic Extraction to support our silicon design solutions. This role involves leading technical benchmarks, managing customer relationships, resolving complex issues, and collaborating with R&D to enhance product development for advanced FinFET nodes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical benchmarks for interconnect parasitic extraction on advanced FinFET nodes, demonstrating StarRC's accuracy and performance.
  • Drive pre-sales engagements including methodology presentations, live demos, and proof-of-concept evaluations.
  • Manage post-sales technical relationships with North America accounts for parasitic extraction workflows.
  • Resolve customer issues end-to-end, from triage through R&D engagement to deployment.
  • Plan and lead Technical Review Meetings and Management Review Meetings.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to define account strategies and shape product direction.
  • Develop and deliver technical content like application notes and best practice guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 7+ years of industry experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with interconnect parasitic extraction tools (StarRC, Quickcap) on advanced FinFET nodes (7nm and below).
  • Strong understanding of digital and custom design flows, including parasitic extraction's role in timing closure, signoff, and reliability analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of process technology and its impact on extraction accuracy and performance.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (TCL, Perl, or Python).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial static timing analysis tools like PrimeTime is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as Hspice or Primesim.
  • Ability to identify issues within an hour of reviewing customer benchmark results (setup, methodology, or tool gap).
  • Proactive ownership of customer escalations, involving necessary teams and providing updates.
  • Skill in explaining complex tradeoffs between extraction accuracy and runtime to different audiences.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior engineers and executives.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and issues.
  • Ability to push back on technically unsound customer requests while maintaining relationships.
