Amazon seeks a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer for the Customer Shopping and Delivery Experience team in Bengaluru, India. Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to optimize customer experience by improving discoverability and speed.
- Build new analyses from the ground up, proposing new concepts and technology to meet business needs.
- Perform complex data analysis (root cause deep dives, correlations, regressions, simulations, optimization) to identify opportunities to improve sales, Prime shipping and delivery benefits, reduce ship costs, and improve discoverability.
- Own end-to-end program management, developing insights and devising realistic plans.
- Work with key stakeholders (software managers, product managers, retail business managers, sellers, transportation planners/managers, and warehouse managers) to execute plans.
- Engage with senior leadership on drafting proposals for new concepts, improvement plans, and strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert in best-in-class customer experience policies at Amazon.
- Mine information from existing systems to create new analysis and expose data from the group to wider teams in intuitive ways.
Requirements
- 8+ years of SQL experience.
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
- 7+ years of professional or military experience.
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.
- Experience with AWS technologies.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.
- Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.
