Microsoft is looking for a Specialist Recruiter in Sydney to act as a trusted talent advisor, developing data-driven hiring strategies and ensuring exceptional candidate experiences. This hybrid role involves partnering with business leaders, analyzing talent market dynamics, and leveraging AI and technology to attract and assess exceptional talent across ANZ.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders as a trusted talent advisor, understanding talent market dynamics and developing hiring strategies.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and advocate for diverse talent profiles.
  • Develop and execute data-driven talent acquisition strategies, analyzing trends and business demand.
  • Create and execute sourcing strategies for competitive and emerging talent areas.
  • Build and nurture relationships with passive and active candidates.
  • Develop compelling narratives about Microsoft's mission, culture, and employee value proposition.
  • Guide candidates through the entire hiring journey, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Conduct candidate screening and assessment activities using frameworks and structured evaluation approaches.
  • Ensure compliance with recruiting policies, processes, and employment regulations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and hiring data within recruiting systems.
  • Use recruiting analytics to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to best practice sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, sourcing, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in using a data-driven approach to recruiting, leveraging talent insights, hiring data, and competitor analysis.
  • Strong interest or prior experience in leveraging AI and technology in recruiting workflows, process improvements, or scaling hiring programs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruiting processes (source, attract, assess, and close talents in competitive markets), ideally within the Tech industry in Sales and/or Engineering roles.
  • Experience using talent market insights & intelligence, workforce data, and hiring analytics to influence recruiting decisions.
  • Deep understanding of ANZ's talent market and recruiting landscape, with experience advising senior leaders on workforce planning and hiring strategy.
