As a Sourcing Engineer in Shanghai, you will support product supply development for FSS and HSS, focusing on COGS Savings and supplier cost updates. You will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and enhancing product competitiveness for the E&M Asia supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Support product supply development (FSS, Methanol, Ammonia, LNG, HSS).
  • Responsible for COGS Savings and local supplier cost updates.
  • Support E&M Asia sourcing and localization needs and strategies.
  • Enhance product competitiveness regarding COGS, Quality, and LT.
  • Execute sourcing strategy and drive supplier relationships.
  • Drive and lead supplier optimization for E&M Asia supply chain.
  • Develop negotiation plans and manage commercial results of suppliers.
  • Secure material supply in constraint situations (capacity, quality, delivery).
  • Monitor supplier performance (external and internal).
  • Initiate and drive actions to mitigate supply chain issues (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
  • Report deviations to suppliers.
  • Analyze supplier performance according to the Follow Up Process.
  • Work with supply development processes and adhere to Alfa Laval Business Principles.
  • Conduct competitor surveys, investigations, and cost analysis.
  • Provide pure purchasing support for other BUs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree.
  • 5+ years sourcing or relevant working experience.
  • Experience in supplier development.
  • Problem solving and target-oriented.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Written and oral English fluency.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working in manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Workshop development experience is a plus.
  • Feasibility study experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Marine Market and Marine Equipment is a plus.
  • Certain economic and legal knowledge.
  • AI tools knowledge.
