Ericsson is seeking a Solution Architect in Kolkata, India, to design and deliver cutting-edge network performance solutions for global customers. Responsibilities

Craft end-to-end strategies to optimize network performance and customer experience.
Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that create business value.
Adapt quickly to change and show leadership across Ericsson and customer teams.
Design and deploy solutions that enhance network capacity, functionality, and end-user services.
Collaborate closely with Product Units, Customer teams, Technical groups, and Marketing/Business Development.
Work across IMS and Packet Core portfolios with a focus on 5G Core and the E2E chain.
Provide feedback to R&D and spark new ideas.
Stay current on emerging tech and share knowledge to build customer competence.
Actively participate in knowledge transfer and documentation.

Solid experience delivering end-to-end solutions in domains like Packet Core, TCP Optimization and Routing.
Expert-level knowledge in Core Network Functions: AMF, SMF, MME, SGW/PGW-C/U, UPF, DNS.
Deep understanding of 4G/5G mobile networks, E2E optimization, and network design.
Strong grasp of 3GPP standards and their real-world application.
Signaling-Plane and User-Plane analysis (familiar with major monitoring systems and Wireshark).
TCP/QUIC protocol knowledge.
Routing and switching expertise.
Data analytics skills: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Parquet, etc), MySQL, Excel, Tableau.
Comfortable translating data into actionable insights.

Desired Qualifications

Open to traveling (25%+).
Experience defining new business models.
Design Thinking knowledge and rapid prototyping experience.
Hands-on experience building cloud infrastructure and NFV (Network Function Virtualization).
5+ years in technology leadership roles.
Background in system testing & troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Cloud & Virtualization.
Knowledge of virtualization techniques.
Routing and Switching Certifications (Ericsson or Cisco).
Familiarity with AIOps, machine learning for network optimization, and intelligent automation tools.
Programming skills for automation and data analysis (Python/Scripting).
Experience with multi-cloud environments, microservices, and cloud-native network functions (CNF).
Knowledge of network slicing, edge computing, and intent-based networking.
Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and modern security frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt new technologies and methodologies.
