Microsoft Finance Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer passionate about building industry-leading enterprise systems using Web, Data Engineering & Sciences technologies. The role involves hands-on design and implementation, sharing learnings, and improving engineering processes within a results-driven, on-site environment.

Responsibilities

Working hands-on with your team through design and implementation, demonstrating good engineering practices and coding.
Sharing your work and learnings with your team, Microsoft product teams, and the OSS community.
Continuously improving our ability to deliver quality solutions by helping to evolve our engineering process.
Staying on top of industry trends, standards from security and scalability perspective to lead and influence design decisions.
Designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications with a particular emphasis on pluggable micro frontend UI Architecture.
Working with single-page architecture, front-end applications using frameworks like React, Angular, redux, saga, Node.js, HTML, CSS.
Working independently for Design and Code reviews to ensure consistently high level of design & implementation.

Requirements

Familiarity with Microsoft .NET technologies (C# and the .NET Framework), Web API, SQL Azure.
Previous experience with multiple product release cycles.
Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#, OpenSource).
Must have exposure in .NET core & Micro Service based architecture application development.
Must have worked on Cloud technologies specifically in the areas of App Service, Service Bus, Functions, Dev Ops.
Database experience with either Azure Cosmos DB or Azure SQL.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or comparable practical professional experience.
At least 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Good at design patterns and their application.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to handle ambiguity and collaborate across multiple groups and disciplines.
Ability to manage multiple projects / tasks concurrently and drive them to successful completion.
Facilitates collaboration in a cross-group environment (i.e., global software engineering teams).
Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and techniques.
Preferred Azure cloud development experience.
