Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, web applications, and large databases.
  • Support critical business processes across IKEA.
  • Contribute across the full stack, with a primary focus on backend development and system integrations.
  • Ensure reliable software delivery.
  • Experiment, learn, and continuously improve engineering practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with co-workers, suppliers, and partners globally.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building software solutions.
  • Strong foundation in backend development.
  • Strong experience with backend development using .NET/C#, REST APIs, and relational DBs.
  • Experience with frontend development using React, TypeScript, Jest or similar.
  • Experience or interest in cloud development (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
  • Comfortable with CI/CD, DevOps practices, GitHub, and test automation.
  • An agile mindset and experience working in cross-functional product teams.
  • Clear and honest communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, cultures, and locations.
  • A deep understanding of IKEA's core values and cultural principles.
