As a Software Engineer II on the Azure Core Storage team, you will design and implement storage solutions for Azure Virtual Machines. Responsibilities
- Design and develop system software for Azure storage services.
- Perform system design through well-defined interfaces and code reviews.
- Ensure services and components are secure, reliable, diagnosable, and reusable.
- Consider testability, portability, monitoring, reliability, and maintainability.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers.
- Monitor system/product/service health and initiate actions to restore service.
- Stay current with developments to improve product availability, reliability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
