We are seeking a Software Development Manager for our Sports Data Platform team in Bengaluru, India. You will lead a high-performing engineering team to build intelligent, real-time notification systems that enhance the customer experience for live sports on Prime Video.

Responsibilities

Lead the team building intelligent, real-time notification systems.
Process live sports signals and make split-second decisions for notifications at global scale.
Hire and grow a high-performing engineering team.
Define the technical roadmap and deliver systems that shape customer experience.
Work with product, design, and partner teams across multiple time zones.
Own the full technology lifecycle, including development, operations, and deprecation.
Foster constructive dialogue and escalate risks proactively.

Requirements

7+ years of engineering experience
3+ years of engineering team management experience
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Desired Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership.
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers.
