Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core data services for live sports events, broadcasts, and associated content.
- Build distributed systems for high-volume, low-latency user experiences.
- Develop tooling and automation to improve efficiency, visibility, and reliability of live event publishing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, content operations, and distribution teams.
- Train new team members on customer needs, software functionality, and architecture.
- Focus on operational excellence, identifying problems and proposing solutions.
- Champion best practices in software engineering, including design, testing, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems).
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Motivated SDE who can help in building platform for delivering live video events to our customer.
- Experience building large-scale, high-performance, customer-friendly products.
- Interested in designing multi-tier services to handle large datasets, complex domains, and problems at Amazon scale.
