Responsibilities
- Design and develop critical components in the operating system and low-level components in E-reader.
- Write applications on top of the Kindle Operating system.
- Collaborate with experienced Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative components in E-reader.
- Architect and design secure software that protects customer data stored on the devices.
- Actively engaged in developing the system and writing applications based on C/C++ and React Native.
- Guide junior members in the role.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Proficient in C/C++ to understand internals of E-reader.
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of React Native is a bonus.
