Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to enhance customer experience through core engineering and AI/ML methodologies. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions for data collection and analysis, leveraging technology to challenge conventional wisdom with hard data.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for data collection and analysis platforms.
Build and optimize automated data collection frameworks across different surfaces (web, mobile).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement efficient solutions.
Write high-quality, maintainable code while following best practices and design patterns.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
Debug production issues and implement performance improvements.
Work with ML technologies and LLM driven extraction services to enhance data processing capabilities.
Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy.
Mentor junior developers and participate in team's agile development process.

Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Desired Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
