Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable platforms for ingesting, processing, and serving insights from petabyte-scale datasets.
- Integrate large language models and generative AI into internal analytics tools for natural language querying, anomaly explanation, and automated reporting.
- Design ML pipelines for anomaly detection, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Partner with scientists, analysts, and PMs to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Drive engineering excellence by defining coding standards, leading design reviews, and setting operational health standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve team technical capability through documentation and code review.
- Own services in production, including building and operating foundational data infrastructure using various AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, Spark, Flink, Kinesis).
- Build and evolve tools for non-engineers to access data and generate Unit Economics.
- Develop UIs, frameworks, and APIs for configuring rules, simulating applications, and serving Unit Economics data.
- Build systems for data security and governance, including access control, data quality tracking, dataset cataloging, lineage tracking, duplication detection, usage auditing, and ensuring correct data semantics.
- Design and build platforms for processing hundreds of TBs of incoming data from various sources and financial events.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
