Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Snr Software Engineer for their DPU Runtime (OS) PCIe team. You will focus on developing cutting-edge, high-performance DPU software, particularly next-generation PCIe device firmware and DPU driver code, contributing to Azure infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Architect and design PCIe firmware for the DPU with an emphasis on device security
Develop, maintain and debug PCIe issues, including use of protocol analyzers
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers
Mentor the team members

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
4+ years of coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
PCIe development experience
Embedded development experience

Desired Qualifications

8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, OR equivalent experience.
5+ years of Embedded and/or Operating System Kernel development experience
5+ years of experience designing and architecting complex software systems
3+ years of experience in technical leadership and/or mentoring
Experience with PCIe protocol analyzers
Experience with storage protocols such as NVMe
Experience with PCIe switches and fabrics
