Seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat Cluster for an on-site, full-time role in Chennai, India. The position requires strong troubleshooting, scripting, and system administration skills, with experience in managing physical and virtual servers, networking, and ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage physical and virtual servers hosted on ESX Host, UCS.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to NFS, CIFS, FTP/SFTP, NTP, and DNS servers.
  • Automate daily operational tasks using Linux scripting.
  • Perform Linux package patching management using RPM, Yum, and DNF.
  • Build and configure Linux servers (Physical, virtual).
  • Troubleshoot file system and permission issues; restore corrupted file systems.
  • Optimize and monitor system performance using tools like SAR and Top.
  • Be responsible for all operations during the shift and address escalations.
  • Perform RHEL OS upgrade using LEAPP.
  • Utilize Ansible Automation Platform for automation.
  • Manage Docker/Podman, and Git/Gitlab/Github.
  • Work with Service Now and Dynatrace tools.
  • Adhere to ITIL process management (Incident, Request, Change) using ServiceNow ticketing tool.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat Cluster Management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause and trend analyses effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to liaise with business stakeholders and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning and change management processes within IT operations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is optional but valuable.
