This role is for an expert-level individual contributor responsible for consultation on database technologies including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL. Key responsibilities involve managing complex IT projects, developing automation scripts for ML/AI, and supporting enterprise initiatives, ensuring high performance, availability, and data protection.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level consultation on the design, build, testing, and implementation of information technologies, ensuring high performance, availability, resiliency, and data protection.
Manage complex IS projects or programs through both pre-production and implementation phases.
Assist in the identification and development of remediation strategies for database vulnerabilities.
Develop use cases for Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) automation scripts.
Assist in roadmap strategy and design architecture for new technologies, tools, and platforms.
Provide technical walkthroughs for IT auditors during audits & assessments.
Deliver on enterprise initiatives, remediation, and sustainability projects.
Leverage DEVOPS, and both Waterfall and Agile practices, to design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multichannel, high-volume, high-transaction, on/off-premise, cloud-based solutions.
Provide consultation and technical advice on IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture for assigned systems.
Review and make changes to technical specifications and documentation.
Develop or modify solutions by identifying technical solutions to business problems.
Translate business requirements, and functional and non-functional requirements, into technical specifications that support integrated and sustainable designs for designated infrastructure systems.
Facilitate the maintenance and implementation of assigned enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure successful deployment and operation by developing and documenting detailed standards.
Evaluate existing systems to make recommendations on resources required to maintain service levels.
Evaluate new service options, identify issues and impacts, and inform recommendations on feasibility and ROI.
Collaborate with various IT Teams (e.g., database, operations, technical support) throughout system development and implementation.
Serve as a liaison with business partners, Solutions, and enterprise architects to help define and understand target strategies.
Serve as a liaison with architects and software engineers to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable designs.
Assist in providing recommendations and input on options, risks, costs, and benefits for systems designs.
Adhere to company architecture standards when developing system designs.

Requirements

Four (4) years experience with Oracle database technologies (19c & latest versions) and multitenant database administration on the Exadata platform Container Databases (CDBs) and Pluggable Databases (PDBs).
Four (4) years experience using SQL or similar query language.
Two (2) years experience with Database utilities such as Golden Gate, OEM etc.
Three (3) years experience using database activity monitoring tools (Imperva, Guardium, IDERA).
Three (3) years experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Three (3) years experience in supporting complex projects.

Desired Qualifications

Two (2) years experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database services.
Two (2) years scripting experience using UNIX/Linux scripting languages.
