Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software and systems engineers, including iteration and task planning.
- Deliver on manager responsibilities and care for the team.
- Set team priorities and drive team OKR execution with input from SRE leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Dev partner teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Establish technical credibility and influence technical direction and high quality delivery from the team.
- Participate in primary oncall rotation.
- Cultivate technical curiosity and growth mindset, and a blameless postmortem culture within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders; deep expertise in domain.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following: C++, C, Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience in an engineering or operations role in distributed systems and large-scale environments.
- Expertise in building and managing a team of results oriented experienced engineers who deliver on large-scale projects.
- Expertise in problem-solving and analyzing global scale distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
