Alfa Laval is seeking a full-time Service Center Operator Intern in Yanbu. This role involves hands-on execution of heat exchanger reconditioning, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and testing, reporting directly to the Service Centre manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on activities related to Heat Exchanger reconditioning: disassembly, plate cleaning, dye penetrant inspection, gasket gluing, assembly, and pressure testing.
- Ensure full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn as required by the work.
- Report technical findings from inspections and establish reports.
- Report any issues to the Team Leader before proceeding.
- Use proper tools, equipment, and procedures to perform the work.
- Follow guidelines mentioned in reconditioning/repair procedures.
- Maintain a safety-first culture during work execution.
- Be responsible for day-to-day housekeeping.
- Ensure efficient maintenance and care of all company tools, spares, and consumables.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of workshop tools and personnel.
- Attend organized training courses as instructed for personal development.
- Be willing to go the extra mile to fulfill customer requirements for on-time job execution and work extended hours.
Requirements
- Diploma/Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Agile and positive mindset when facing challenges.
- Good level of safety awareness.
- Self-starter and result-oriented.
- Good understanding of operational issues.
- Team player.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Flair for maintaining relationships and working across different cultures.
- Customer service oriented.
- Computer literate; skilled in MS Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Desired Qualifications
- Welding basic competence is a plus.
- Preferred to be a Saudi National.
