This role is for a Senior Administrator focusing on Azure MSSQL DBA tasks and Microsoft Azure. The primary responsibility is vulnerability remediation, including planning, execution, and evidence capture within ServiceNow. The position requires expertise in Windows and SQL administration.

Responsibilities

Own remediation of prioritized ServiceNow VITs for the server estate.
Define and manage remediation sequences at server/server-group level.
Own remediation for OS, SQL Server, and supporting server-installed components.
Maintain accurate implementation evidence, work notes, and remediation progress in ServiceNow.
Review vulnerability scan findings after remediation and reprocess unresolved items.
Establish an 8x5 core service for planning, analysis, reporting, and governance.
Eliminate overdue Critical/High VITs and meet remediation targets.
Recommend automation, on-demand scanning, reporting, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

Windows Admin skills
SQL Admin skills
Experience with vulnerability remediation
Experience with ServiceNow
Understanding of production criticality and maintenance windows
Familiarity with application/database dependencies
Experience with OS, SQL Server, and supporting components (.NET, Visual Studio, 7-Zip)

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Azure is implied by the title.
On-call support and scheduled after-hours/weekend patch coverage may be required.
