In short

Configure and maintain SAP tax determination processes, design and implement indirect tax solutions (VAT, GST, etc.), and integrate with third-party tax engines. This role involves supporting SAP implementations, including S/4HANA, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure tax compliance and provide production support.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain SAP tax determination processes across FI, SD, MM, and Procurement modules.
Design, implement, and support indirect tax solutions including VAT, GST, Sales and Use Tax, and Withholding Tax.
Integrate SAP with third-party tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters, or similar platforms.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP tax solutions.
Support end-to-end implementation, upgrade, and migration projects, including SAP S/4HANA transformations.
Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and external auditors to ensure tax compliance.
Perform testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.
Provide production support and troubleshoot tax-related issues.
Prepare functional specifications and support technical teams during developments and enhancements.

Experience with SAP tax determination across FI, SD, MM, and Procurement modules.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting indirect tax solutions (VAT, GST, Sales and Use Tax, Withholding Tax).
Experience integrating SAP with third-party tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters, or similar).
Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformations.
Experience in conducting fit-gap analysis.
Experience in testing activities (unit testing, SIT, UAT) and defect resolution.
Experience in providing production support and troubleshooting tax-related issues.
