Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
  • Conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization, and implementation of best practices and coding standards.
  • Ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions/reviews as a technical consultant for feasibility study.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and prepare status reports.
  • Support Oracle EBS 12.2 Production environment for mission-critical business applications.
  • Upgrade Oracle database from 12c to 19c for Oracle EBS application 12.2.8.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database and application issues during the upgrade process.
  • Work with Oracle support to resolve issues and seek recommendations on best practices.
  • Collaborate with Application Functional testing and boundary application teams for issue resolution.
  • Develop upgrade runbooks and work to reduce upgrade downtime.
  • Plan and upgrade infrastructure components (OS, Grid) with Infrastructure teams.
  • Plan environments for multiple upgrade test cycles.
  • Work with Project Manager and stakeholders to adhere to project timelines.
  • Address performance issues and perform SQL tuning and profiling.
  • Develop system maintenance documents (Patching, cloning, service account password change).
  • Set up a Disaster Recovery environment using Oracle Data Guard and perform DR tests.

Requirements

  • Total Relevant experience of 10-12 years.
  • Supporting Oracle EBS 12.2 Production env for mission critical business application.
  • Upgrading Oracle database from 12c to 19c version for Oracle EBS application 12.2.8.
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of database and application issues encountered as part of the upgrade.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle RAC, PCP and DMZ environments.
  • Collaborate with Application Functional testing and boundary application teams and work on issue resolution reported by teams.
  • Work with Infrastructure teams (Linux, storage teams) to plan and upgrade for infrastructure components e.g. OS, Grid upgrade.
  • Working with Project Manager and others stakeholders to adhere to project timelines set for upgrade.
  • Work on performance issues reported by testing teams, work on SQL tuning advisor, SQL profiling.
  • Develop documents for system maintenance (Patching, cloning, service account password change).
  • Setup a Disaster recovery environment using Oracle dataguard and perform DR test.
  • Provide technical guidance to a team of developers.
  • Conduct comprehensive code reviews and establish quality assurance processes.
