In short

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with over 7 years of experience in enterprise content management, specifically OpenText xECM and Content Server, to join our People Platform team. The role involves technical ownership of solution design, engineering, and integration for HR digital transformation, with a focus on OpenText xECM for SAP SuccessFactors.

Responsibilities

Own the technical design and implementation of OpenText xECM for SAP SuccessFactors solutions.
Design and govern Business Workspaces, workspace hierarchies, document types, metadata, security models, permissions, and business rules.
Develop, review, and optimize WebReports, LiveReports, workflows, Event Scripts, and automation solutions.
Design and maintain custom Content Server user interfaces, Smart View extensions, perspectives, forms, and widgets.
Design, build, and support integrations between OpenText xECM, SAP SuccessFactors, PowerDocs, DocuSign, and other enterprise applications.
Define integration approaches and API contracts; troubleshoot cross-system failures, authentication issues, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.
Lead or coordinate technical activities for platform upgrades, deployments, migrations, implementation, testing, and release readiness.
Lead root-cause analysis for complex incidents and drive prevention of recurring issues.
Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Security, SAP, and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Requirements

Deep technical expertise in OpenText xECM and OpenText Content Server, with the ability to own technical decisions and guide implementation.
Experience designing and configuring Business Workspaces, metadata, document types, workflows, permissions, and security models.
Strong development experience with WebReports, LiveReports, Workflows, Event Scripts, and Content Server customizations, including code/design review and performance considerations.
Experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise integrations using REST APIs and cloud platforms, including robust error handling and observability.
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors integrations and HR document management, including secure handling of employee documents and lifecycle events.
7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise content management.
Experience leading or playing a key technical role in at least one end-to-end OpenText xECM implementation or major rollout, preferably integrated with SAP SuccessFactors.
Strong experience translating business requirements and user stories into technical designs, solution options, estimates, implementation plans, and clear engineering tasks.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance to engineers, coordinate cross-system delivery, review implementation approaches, and collaborate across teams and modules.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of OpenText PowerDocs, document generation, template development, and document automation is an advantage.
Knowledge of PowerDocs, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, Google Cloud Platform, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and enterprise monitoring tools is an advantage.
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, cloud integrations, APIs, monitoring, and enterprise application connectivity.
Experience contributing to implementation planning, technical validation, testing strategy, release readiness, and production transition for OpenText xECM solutions.
