Responsibilities

Lead Android platform upgrade initiatives.
Drive Android OS migration and support adoption of new releases.
Enable new platform capabilities using Android Architecture and AOSP.
Perform software design, implementation, debugging, and integration.
Analyze upgrade impacts and resolve platform issues.
Support platform bring-up, feature enablement, and release activities.
Drive software quality improvements and ensure stability.
Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and decision-making.
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
Work effectively with global teams across multiple locations and time zones.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in software development for Android, embedded systems, or platform software.
Strong hands-on experience in C++ software development.
Solid understanding of ARM-based embedded platforms and system architecture.
Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
Deep knowledge of Android Architecture and Android platform software.
Proven experience working with Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
Strong understanding of embedded software development and platform integration.
Experience debugging complex software issues in embedded environments.
Ability to analyze system-level problems and drive technical solutions.
Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering experience.
OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
3+ years of work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
