As a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, you will solve complex problems and innovate solutions while collaborating closely with customers. This hybrid role requires expertise in C++, C#, big data, ML, NLP, and search technologies, along with familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services and security awareness.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements.
Drive the identification of dependencies and development of design documents.
Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code for performance and maintainability.
Leverage subject-matter expertise to drive project and release plans.
Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers.
Work on call to monitor system/product/service performance and initiate corrective actions.
Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends and technical solutions to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
6+ years of professional development experience.
Technical proficiency in C++, C#, big data, ML, NLP, and search technologies.
Strong analytical skills, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, Entra, O365).
Security awareness, including penetration testing and threat analysis.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Desired Qualifications

Self-identify as a technical software engineer with a passion for cloud technologies and AI.
Previous experience as a Software Developer Engineer.
Track record of working closely with agile and diverse engineering teams.
Understanding of cloud, AI, and other computing technologies, including business drivers and emerging trends.
Experience working in geographically dispersed teams.
Self-starter who likes tackling new challenges and working independently.
Ability to build relationships with senior technical and business leaders.
Strong verbal and written communication ability, including fluency in English.
