Responsibilities
- Scope, design, implement, validate, and deploy Linux infrastructure capabilities.
- Build and operate Linux, Kubernetes, and fleet management platforms.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Investigate production issues and implement durable solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate advancements in Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and operating systems.
- Design and operate infrastructure with observability, resiliency, security, compliance, and maintainability.
- Develop tools and automation to improve productivity and platform quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
Benefits
- USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year (US range).
- USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
