Responsibilities
- Manages and directs a global team of contracts professionals.
- Drafts, negotiates, and administers a wide variety of complex contracts.
- Guides the team in the administration of highly complex contracts portfolio to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Reviews projects and assigns work throughout the team.
- Reviews research, analysis, and interpretation of contracts across teams.
- Guides team on Qualcomm's policies and positions related to contracts.
- Provides direction to teams for analyzing and responding to complex requests for information.
- Drives conversations with critical internal and external stakeholders to understand and clarify ambiguous needs.
- Encourages continuous improvement across teams by developing new and innovative ways to increase efficiencies.
- Champions development and usage of GenAI, CLM and other solutions for contract creation and maintenance.
- Leads sound, ethical, and timely decision making within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
- 15+ years of professional experience in drafting, reviewing, redlining and negotiating complex procurement contracts.
- 5+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Sr. Director level or above).
- Proficiency in using CLM and AI solutions / tools to streamline and automate contracts management.
- 2+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
- 8+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s or Juris Doctor degree is preferred but not required.
- Strong negotiation, influence, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex and detailed information clearly and effectively to audiences with varying levels of knowledge.
