Emerson is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with a focus on Project Accounting to join their Power and Water Solutions group in Pittsburgh, PA. This hybrid role involves partnering with project operations and finance teams for project reviews, financial closing, and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities

Partner with North America project operations and management teams.
Review projects for proper cost application and revenue recognition, including Oracle processes.
Assist in reviewing monthly progress balances and identifying invoicing opportunities.
Coordinate external and internal audit visits.
Prepare annual budget for North American operations and analyze variances.
Develop cost center budgets and standard costing rates.
Participate in special projects like accounting system updates and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of five years’ experience in Accounting or Finance.
Proficiency in Excel.
Familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to perform solid accounting and financial analysis.
Ability to multitask in a project-oriented environment with commitment to quality.
Professional and concise communication skills with all levels of management.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or MBA
Project Accounting experience
Oracle and/or HFM experience
