The Senior Engineer - Desk Side Services will provide comprehensive hardware and software support to employees in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This role involves installing and troubleshooting software on various platforms, managing printer issues, coordinating repairs, and maintaining asset inventory. Responsibilities

Image and install software on Windows and Apple laptops/desktops, including IMAC and remote support.
Troubleshoot post-deployment issues on Windows, Macintosh, and mobile devices.
Handle printer break-fix and installation, disposal, redeployment, and asset reclaim.
Coordinate shipping, data backup, and data recovery.
Perform hardware refreshes, warranty repairs, and out-of-warranty replacements.
Provide depot services, walk-up support, and spare parts management.
Offer 1st level troubleshooting for VDI and executive (VIP) support.
Provide audio and video support, including health checks.
Manage inventory and asset management through depot operations.
Coordinate with external vendors for dispatch support.
Identify and resolve hardware and software application conflicts.
Manage service requests, including classification, assignment, tracking, and completion.
Perform asset tagging and enter equipment into the asset management system.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new hire onboarding.
Ensure hardware is properly assigned and updated in the management system.
Provide weekly reports on physical inventory and hardware outflows.
Work with external suppliers to schedule repairs for damaged hardware.
Ensure resolutions align with company standards and policies.

Requirements

3-5 years of IT experience, including technical training.
Knowledge of Windows and Macintosh platforms (including portables) and Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with imaging Windows 10 OS.
Familiarity with basic network concepts (TCP/IP, Windows Networking, Ethernet).
Networked printer experience (queue creation, server maintenance).
Experience with PC-based word processing, presentation, and e-mail software.
Experience with PC-based spreadsheet software for calculations and functions.
Willingness to work extended hours or a modified schedule.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Experience in a call center or help desk environment.
MCP and/or A+ Certifications.
Aptitude for learning.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in teams.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Own car for transportation (mileage reimbursed).
Valid driver's license.

Desired Qualifications

The job will require travel between offices (up to 150 miles).
