As a Senior Embedded Device Tester in Chennai, you will ensure the quality and reliability of embedded software products by creating and executing test cases, and contributing to test plans. You will track metrics, report progress, and communicate with team members and clients, leveraging Python for test automation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review test cases based on functional specifications and software requirement specifications for embedded systems.
  • Execute functionality testing aligned with the test plan and test cases, using Python for automation where applicable.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans.
  • Track test coverage, defect density, and other metrics, publishing progress reports.
  • Coordinate discussions with the testing team and interact with clients to provide updates and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of embedded device testing principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Python for test automation and script development.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks relevant to embedded systems.
  • Solid knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Quality Assurance best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.

Desired Qualifications

  • ISTQB Certified Tester or similar software testing certification is optional but valuable.
