Vi söker en erfaren senior elkonstruktör inom automation till Alfa Lavals team i Flemingsberg, Sverige. Du kommer att leda elkonstruktionsarbetet för avancerade styrsystem och IoT-lösningar, designa och testa säkra, pålitliga och kostnadseffektiva automationssystem genom hela produktlivscykeln.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and automation control cabinets for machine applications.
- Create electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, wiring diagrams, electrical documentation and technical reports.
- Collaborate with mechanical, process and software engineers.
- Develop and maintain product documentation in PDM system.
- Select and dimension components such as PLC, HMI, power supplies, motor starters, contactors, relays, frequency drives, cables and safety components.
- Ensure electrical solutions meet applicable standards, regulations and customer requirements.
- Perform safety calculations using SISTEMA.
- Conduct EMC analysis and design.
- Estimate design hours and coordinate electrical design activities.
- Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Support start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate across sites and support less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Extensive experience designing electrical systems for industrial automation cabinets.
- Advanced experience with EPLAN P8 or a similar electrical design tool.
- Knowledge of SISTEMA for safety calculations and functional safety standards.
- Solid understanding of EMC principles and practical experience with EMC testing and mitigation.
- Experience with heat calculations and thermal management for electrical cabinets.
- Strong knowledge of EN 60204-1, CE-marking of machines and electrical safety requirements.
- Experience with CE-marking process for machinery and related standards.
- Practical hands-on experience from commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with marine approvals, verification and related documentation.
- Experience with project management.
- Deeper interest in a specific field related to machinery design, such as safety design, CE-marking or CAD expert.
