Responsibilities
- Develops, defines, and executes plans of record, including schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risks.
- Monitors and drives the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitors budget/spending, on-time delivery, and achievement of program milestones.
- Represents the program and drives alignment across stakeholders.
- Translates external stakeholder needs, product roadmaps and organizational strategy into successful programs.
- Manages and takes responsibility for multiple large programs/technology/portfolios of varying complexity.
- Develops, guides, manages the execution of, and reviews program Plan of Record.
- Fully owns all key program metrics and influences the priorities of teams.
- Identifies and secures internal/external resources ensuring alignment to program/technology and organizational demands.
- Makes recommendations, advises, implements risk management strategies, and reviews risk mitigation plans.
- Validates business cases and determines relevance to organizational strategy.
- Drives and presents program vision across portfolio and influences executive leadership.
- Leads and drives the design, development and implementation of new and innovative Program Management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
- Working independently with no supervision.
- Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives.
- Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.
- Responsible to ensure budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional areas and organization are realistically set and attained.
- Having a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions.
- Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders.
- Regularly determines what needs to be done and is involved with sharing innovative solutions to achieve broad policies and objectives.
- Working on abstract problems in variable situations that typically require complex analysis, interpretation, or evaluation of intangible factors.
- Develops, redesigns organizational strategies and provides overall direction for various functional areas and/or entire organization.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP Certification.
- 15+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
- 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 4+ years of experience with program management tools such as dashboards, Gantt charts, etc.
- 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
