Responsibilities
- Create test solutions in support of New Product Introduction (Silicon Validation and Characterization) and Manufacturing Enablement of Qualcomm Silicon on Chip (SOC) products.
- Grow and specialize within Digital Test Engineering, including IP, DFT/DFM, AI/Machine Learning, and adjacent disciplines.
- Collaborate with packaging teams on 2.5D/3D IC testing, Thermal test analysis, PICs, and integrated RF/photonic devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Optics/Photonics or related field.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, and Linux.
- Experience working with common test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers).
- Knowledge of signal integrity and transmission line theory.
- 3+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- >1-2 years industry experience on Advantest 93K or Teradyne UFlex/IFlex as Product, Test Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
- Applicable Course work: Digital Logic, Computer Architecture, VLSI design, Semi-Conductor Physics, Statistics, Programming Language (C++, JAVA, Python), Digital Communications, Wireless Communications).
- FGPA programming and embedded SW development for optical subsystem prototyping.
- Familiar with active and passive photonic devices such as semiconductor lasers, Modulators (MZMs), photodiodes, RF and photonic waveguide-based devices.
- Understanding of optical communication system metrics such as OSNR, receiver sensitivity, optical modulation index, and optical filtering.
- Industrial experience supporting high‑volume production of leading‑edge Semiconductor devices and EIC/PIC products.
- Good organizational skills.
- Master’s or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Optics, Preferred.
